 Jenna McNamee, B.HSc., N.D. (Cand.)
I completed my four-year undergraduate degree at McMaster University in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours Program, the only one of its kind in Ontario which draws upon a full range of clinical departments. I had the privilege of working with Dr. Arya M. Sharma, MD/PhD, FRCPC, Professor of Medicine & Canada Research Chair for Cardiovascular Obesity Research and Management. I was the runner-up in the Canadian Obesity Network Thesis Competition in 2007. I was also a member of the McMaster Medicine & Health Society throughout my time there.
I am currently interning at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). CCNM is Canada’s oldest naturopathic medical college, established in 1978 and accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME). It is home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC), the school’s teaching clinic which serves over 100 patients a day and over 25,000 patients a year.
Throughout my years at CCNM, I’ve had the opportunity to observe many naturopathic doctors in clinical practice, including Dr. Sandra Miranda, BSc, ND, and Dr. Joseph Kellerstein, DC, ND, FCAH, CCH. I had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Danny Wu, CMD., Dr. AC., PhD. for an extended period of time, expanding my knowledge in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. I have also been a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors since 2007.
In addition to my education, I’ve volunteered for many years at both Lakeridge Health Oshawa and the McMaster University Medical Centre in many different clinical departments. I have spent a lot of time with patients and their families and have gained a lot of insight.
My past experiences equip me with invaluable assets, which further enhance my ability to provide you with the best possible healthcare experience at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.

My mission is to treat you as a whole person, not just the disease you may possess. I will strive to learn as much about you as I can through our discussions about your health concerns and medical history, physical examination, and laboratory testing. That way, through collaboration, I will work to discover the root cause of your symptoms, so I can create a truly unique and individualized treatment plan that we can mutually agree upon – one that listens to your concerns and goals and takes them into account.
I will strive to provide you with the healthcare that you deserve and look forward to accompanying you on your path to optimal health and wellness.
